When a pair is not the one

If they do not fit

Anything that comes back goes to our retail partner, not to us. Their policy, their window and their process apply, and you will find all three on the listing you bought from.

Who handles it

We are a catalogue. We took no payment, so there is no money here to send back, and we have no address a shoe can be posted to. Everything about a pair going back is arranged with our retail partner through the order in your account with them.

Getting the size right the first time

Cork bends to a foot, but it will not stretch a last that is too short. Our shapes run on nine lasts and the men’s shelf sits noticeably wider across the tread than the women’s. Read the size chart on the listing before you commit, and if you are between two, think about the buckle: an adjustable strap over the vamp takes up a little volume, but it cannot take up length.

Give the bed a week before you decide

A new cork bed feels firmer than you expect and the arch contour sits higher than a flat insole. That is the bed doing its job, not the pair being wrong. Wear them short indoors for a few days first. If the length is wrong, though, it will be wrong on day one and waiting will only close the window our retail partner gives you.

Every pair on this site is sold through our retail partner, who sets the price and handles payment, delivery and anything that comes back.
