Who pays the bench
You do not, and neither does the price you pay. This page explains exactly where the money comes from, because a catalogue that will not say that is worth less than one that will.
Where the money comes from
Every buy button on this site carries a code that identifies us. If you follow one and buy something, our retail partner pays us a small share of what they took. That share is their cost, not yours: the price at checkout is the same whether you arrived from here, from a search or by typing the address yourself.
What it does and does not buy
It pays for the photography, the writing and the hosting. It does not buy a place on a shelf. The order of pairs on our pages comes from the catalogue itself: how many owners have reviewed a listing, what a pair costs, which shelf it belongs on. It does not come from what any pair pays us, because they all pay the same.
Say so plainly
The line below is the disclosure the programme requires, and it sits in the footer of every page on this site as well.
The disclosure itself
Every pair on this site is sold through our retail partner, who sets the price and handles payment, delivery and anything that comes back.
Back to the shoes
The shelves hold 38 pairs across 5 sections, all on the same moulded cork footbed.
