How this pair is put together
Twin strap hardware
Two metal buckles let you tighten or loosen each strap across the instep separately. The prongs sit flat against the smooth material so the slide stays secure as you walk.
Natural cork core
The footbed is shaped with a raised arch contour and a rounded cup at the rear. Over weeks of wear, the cork slowly settles to match the shape of your sole.
Open front cut
We leave the toe box broad and unconfined so air reaches the foot in hot weather. The raised front lip keeps your toes positioned squarely on the footbed.
EVA bottom plate
A firm synthetic outsole is glued beneath the cork to absorb contact with gravel and pavement. The light tread pattern gives honest grip on dry ground.
What we cut and last
Smooth double straps cross the bridge of the foot on these open toe slides, fastened with metal prongs for a firm hold. We lasted this two-pair set for women and men over a contoured cork core that gradually takes the print of your step. An EVA outsole underneath keeps the build light on hard paths.
Caring for this upper
- Smooth leather: Wipe with a soft damp cloth, dry away from heat.
- Give the cork footbed a week of short wear so it takes the imprint of your heel.

Reading before you choose
Closed toe or open toe across the catalogue
Every shoe we build begins with the same moulded cork footbed, but the first choice at the bench is the front of the upper.
How the moulded cork footbed takes shape
Our workshop builds every shoe on one moulded cork footbed across the catalogue.
The wider last and buckle adjustment
A shoe takes its internal volume and width directly from the solid form we build it over.
Looking for a different foot?
Every pair on our shelf shares this footbed. Change the toe, the upper or the last and the rest stays the same.
