How this pair is put together
Smooth white straps
The white upper has a smooth finish that wipes clean with a damp cloth. Two broad straps cross the foot, each holding its own metal pin buckle so you can set the volume across the instep and ball independently.
Molded cork footbed
Our cork footbed is shaped with a deep heel cup, a raised contour under the arch, and a defined toe bar. The natural cork composite yields gradually under foot, taking your imprint as the weeks pass.
Open toe cut
An open front lets air move across the foot on warm days. The raised edge around the perimeter gives your toes a defined boundary while keeping the slide light on the foot.
Textured outsole tread
Under the cork core, we bond a lightweight synthetic sole cut with a shallow wave pattern. It gives the slide dependable grip on pavement, decking, and dry paths without adding bulk to the profile.
What we cut and last
We lasted this open toe slide on our molded cork footbed, finished here with two smooth white straps. The broad straps secure over the instep with individual metal buckles. Over weeks of wear, the cork bed softens and settles to the shape of your foot.
Caring for this upper
- Smooth leather: Wipe with a soft damp cloth, dry away from heat.
- Give the cork footbed a week of short wear so it takes the imprint of your heel.

Reading before you choose
Closed toe or open toe across the catalogue
Every shoe we build begins with the same moulded cork footbed, but the first choice at the bench is the front of the upper.
How the moulded cork footbed takes shape
Our workshop builds every shoe on one moulded cork footbed across the catalogue.
The wider last and buckle adjustment
A shoe takes its internal volume and width directly from the solid form we build it over.
