How this pair is put together

Apricot genuine suede

The upper is genuine suede with a soft brushed nap that yields gently to small feet over time. Dry brushing lifts dust and restores the texture after outdoor play.

Flexible heel keeper

An elastic rear band sits behind the ankle to keep small feet in place during movement. It works alongside the metal prong buckle on the vamp to adjust the hold.

Moulded cork bed

We build the footbed from cork that gradually forms to the shape of the foot. A cupped heel and subtle arch contour steady the stride across indoor floors and pavement.

Patterned eva base

Underneath the cork core sits a lightweight EVA sole with a textured underside. It stays flexible through the step and handles everyday paths without adding heavy bulk.

What we cut and last

Apricot suede covers this small clog, dyed in a soft sunlit tone with a rounded front that covers the toes. We shape the base from genuine cork with a deep heel hollow and add a flexible rear band so young walkers stay seated in the footbed.

Caring for this upper

  • Suede: Brush dry with a bristle block, never wet the nap.
  • Give the cork footbed a week of short wear so it takes the imprint of your heel.

Lasting the cork footbed for children

We build seven pairs in our catalogue on a child's last.

How the moulded cork footbed takes shape

Our workshop builds every shoe on one moulded cork footbed across the catalogue.

Closed toe or open toe across the catalogue

Every shoe we build begins with the same moulded cork footbed, but the first choice at the bench is the front of the upper.

Looking for a different foot?

Every pair on our shelf shares this footbed. Change the toe, the upper or the last and the rest stays the same.
