How this pair is put together

Deep coffee suede

We cut the upper from genuine suede in a dark coffee tone. The nap is soft and takes to a stiff bristle brush when dirt needs to be cleared from the surface.

Elasticated back strap

An elastic heel band works alongside the metal prong buckle across the instep. This combination holds the backless shape onto small feet during walking and outdoor play.

Cupped footbed rim

The cork base features a raised rim and a defined heel hollow. The cork compresses gradually under daily body weight, shaping itself to the imprint of the foot.

Textured walking sole

Underneath the cork, a dense EVA base layer provides traction on hard ground. It keeps the whole clog light while adding firm grip across the bottom.

What we cut and last

We built this kids clog on our traditional cork footbed, scaled down for smaller feet. The coffee brown suede upper covers the toes, paired with an adjustable metal buckle and an elastic back strap to keep the shoe secure. It yields steadily to daily wear.

Caring for this upper

  • Suede: Brush dry with a bristle block, never wet the nap.
  • Give the cork footbed a week of short wear so it takes the imprint of your heel.

Lasting the cork footbed for children

We build seven pairs in our catalogue on a child's last.

How the moulded cork footbed takes shape

Our workshop builds every shoe on one moulded cork footbed across the catalogue.

Closed toe or open toe across the catalogue

Every shoe we build begins with the same moulded cork footbed, but the first choice at the bench is the front of the upper.

Looking for a different foot?

Every pair on our shelf shares this footbed. Change the toe, the upper or the last and the rest stays the same.
