How this pair is put together
Smooth brown straps
The upper uses a pair of unlined brown bands that wipe down with a damp cloth. They hold their shape over the foot without stretching out, keeping the slide seated close to your sole.
Instep prong hardware
Metal prong buckles let you tighten or slacken each band notch by notch. Setting the front strap looser and the rear strap snug keeps the slide on the foot without pinching the toes.
Anatomical cork sole
Natural cork granules are pressed into a firm footbed with a raised ridge beneath the toes. Over months of wear, the cork yields to the imprint of your sole and settles into your gait.
Lightweight base grip
Underneath the cork core, a durable synthetic sole features shallow channels for steady pavement contact. The light material keeps the whole slide easy on the foot through long walks.
What we cut and last
Brown synthetic straps cross the foot in two wide bands, buckled independently to secure the instep and the forefoot. We lasted this pair on our natural cork footbed, shaping the arch curve and a rounded heel cup for open-air walking. The open toe keeps air moving through warm days.
Caring for this upper
- Smooth leather: Wipe with a soft damp cloth, dry away from heat.
- Give the cork footbed a week of short wear so it takes the imprint of your heel.

Reading before you choose
Closed toe or open toe across the catalogue
Every shoe we build begins with the same moulded cork footbed, but the first choice at the bench is the front of the upper.
How the moulded cork footbed takes shape
Our workshop builds every shoe on one moulded cork footbed across the catalogue.
The wider last and buckle adjustment
A shoe takes its internal volume and width directly from the solid form we build it over.
Looking for a different foot?
Every pair on our shelf shares this footbed. Change the toe, the upper or the last and the rest stays the same.
