How this pair is put together

Smooth purple finish

The synthetic straps carry a solid purple hue that wipes clean with a damp cloth after outdoor play. Soft lining underneath sits flat against bare skin without stiff edges.

Childrens cork core

We build the footbed from natural cork shaped to cradle the heel and follow the line under the arch. The surface softens and takes the imprint of the foot through repeated wear.

Twin strap closures

Two independent metal buckles allow separate adjustments over the lower bridge and the high instep. The tongue prongs seat firmly into punched eyelets to keep the slide secure.

Wave pattern tread

A light EVA bottom layer keeps the sandal flexible under small strides. The underside is molded with a shallow wave pattern for steady contact on sidewalks and pool decks.

What we cut and last

Smooth purple straps across the vamp give this open-toe slide a bright finish. We last the pair on a smaller cork footbed shaped with a cupped heel and an arch contour. Two metal buckles let you reset the width over the instep as feet grow.

Caring for this upper

  • Smooth leather: Wipe with a soft damp cloth, dry away from heat.
  • Give the cork footbed a week of short wear so it takes the imprint of your heel.

Lasting the cork footbed for children

We build seven pairs in our catalogue on a child's last.

How the moulded cork footbed takes shape

Our workshop builds every shoe on one moulded cork footbed across the catalogue.

Closed toe or open toe across the catalogue

Every shoe we build begins with the same moulded cork footbed, but the first choice at the bench is the front of the upper.

Looking for a different foot?

Every pair on our shelf shares this footbed. Change the toe, the upper or the last and the rest stays the same.
