How this pair is put together

Ribbed suede upper

The split suede is cut with a distinct corduroy ribbing in a neutral beige tone. It holds its shape over the forefoot while flexing naturally as you walk. Use a dry bristle brush to clear dust from the ribs.

Vintage metal buckle

A sturdy metal pin buckle spans the vamp to let you tighten or loosen the fit over your instep. The hardware features a weathered finish that matches the warm beige tone of the corduroy leather.

Footbed arch contour

We molded the cork base with a raised ridge beneath the arch and a deep pocket for the heel. The cork core gradually compresses under body warmth, taking the impression of your sole over time.

Thick ground layer

A dense, lightweight bottom sole sits beneath the cork rim to buffer direct contact with pavement. The patterned underside provides steady grip across stone paths, floorboards, and garden walks.

What we cut and last

Beige corduroy suede brings textured ribbing to this backless clog. We shaped the upper with a rounded toe box and secured it across the vamp with an antique-finish metal buckle. Underneath, a cork footbed and thick tread carry the pair through daily wear.

Caring for this upper

  • Suede: Brush dry with a bristle block, never wet the nap.
  • Give the cork footbed a week of short wear so it takes the imprint of your heel.

How the moulded cork footbed takes shape

Our workshop builds every shoe on one moulded cork footbed across the catalogue.

Caring for four uppers and cork

We build our footwear on a single moulded cork footbed across four distinct upper materials.

Closed toe or open toe across the catalogue

Every shoe we build begins with the same moulded cork footbed, but the first choice at the bench is the front of the upper.

Looking for a different foot?

Every pair on our shelf shares this footbed. Change the toe, the upper or the last and the rest stays the same.
