How this pair is put together
Oiled leather finish
The brown oily upper gains depth as it flexes. Marks rub out with warmth from your thumb, or you can apply a light wax balm with a soft cloth to restore an even tone across both broad straps.
Anatomical cork core
Our cork footbed is shaped with a recessed heel cup and a raised arch ridge. The compound yields slowly over weeks of wear, taking a clear impression of your sole without losing its firm structure.
Pronged strap hardware
Each strap carries its own buckle with multiple punch holes. You can notch the lower strap tight near the toes and let the instep strap sit looser, keeping the foot back in the heel cup.
Underfoot traction layer
A lightweight synthetic outsole is bonded directly to the cork midsole. Shallow ridges cut across the bottom provide steady contact on hard pavements, tile floors and packed garden paths.
What we cut and last
Oiled brown leather brings a rich, pull-up character to this two-strap slide. We lasted the open-toe upper over our traditional cork footbed, letting the material soften and darken naturally as you wear it. Solid metal prongs let you set each strap independently across your instep.
Caring for this upper
- Oiled leather: Wipe clean, then work the oil back in when it dulls.
- Give the cork footbed a week of short wear so it takes the imprint of your heel.

Reading before you choose
Closed toe or open toe across the catalogue
Every shoe we build begins with the same moulded cork footbed, but the first choice at the bench is the front of the upper.
How the moulded cork footbed takes shape
Our workshop builds every shoe on one moulded cork footbed across the catalogue.
The wider last and buckle adjustment
A shoe takes its internal volume and width directly from the solid form we build it over.

Every pair on our shelf shares this footbed. Change the toe, the upper or the last and the rest stays the same.
